Greetings from Bali, you salmon sushis! I am thrilled to show you these first pics from our first two days on this beautiful Indonesian island, all taken at the gorgeous Matahari Beach Resort & Spa which is one of the three hotels we will be staying at over here. As it is absolutely amazing and something I just have to show you I will write an article about it later, but for now I’m just gonna give you a quick update with some of my favourite pictures.

We just arrived at the second hotel today, Kayumanis Ubud, and had the most delicious meal by the pool in our private villa and now we are sitting in our outdoor living room in the company of a lizard, the three of us (Hedvig, the lizard and I) talking about old and new memories with a cup of tea in our hands and some music playing in the background. Driving to Ubud today we got such an amazing opportunity to view some of that typical Balinese life with people washing their clothes in the river, children playing with kites at the rice fields and my favourite part – wild monkeys running around with their babies in the mountains (quite fun as none of the locals seem to understand why we find that so terrifically awesome). They even have special road signs indicating that there might be monkeys in the area, hihi. People here appear to be living and working in such a simple pace, everybody we have seen has basically been either carrying large sacks with rice on their heads or just chilling on the side of the road.

Tomorrow we’re gonna go up early to swim in the hotel’s jungle based infinity pool by one of the local rivers (and it is ah-maziiiing!!!!), have a 90 minute massage and then we are heading to my first ever river rafting experience that I could not be more excited about! I really can’t imagine a more inspirational place to work from than this! Talk to you soon!
