Yay, guys! Time to show you the last hotel we had the pleasure to stay at on Bali, namely the multiple awards winning and completely epic Jamahal Private Resort & Spa in Jimbaran. During our stay we had the chance to stay in two different villas and also dined in yet another two so we really got to see a lot of awesome options in terms of accomodation, hehe. Once again, this Bali based residence is one of the best hotels I’ve ever visited in terms of facilities, service, food, convenient location and so the list continues. We arrived right after having rafted in Ubud and received the sweetest welcome with a drink and bath in pink rose petals that you guys seemed to like on Instagram (seriously the most epic bath I’ve ever taken, totally felt as if I was in a perfume commercial for Dior).
At first we stayed in the Garden Suite Villa that was connected to the lagoon pool so we could just open a door and jump straight in there if we wanted to (nothing I recommend though as you better check how deep it is first so that you don’t get hurt). The pool had this beautiful little artificial waterfall so on some occassions we decided to have breakfast in one of the little bungalows located by the pool side. We opted for what to eat in the evening before by chosing from a brochure with a whole range of different alternatives, decided which time we preferred to eat and then in the morning someone from the staff called our villa to wake us up and let us know that the breakfast would be at the inquired location ten minutes thereafter (can certainly recommend the crab cake and fried Vietnamese spring rolls!). Seriously amazing service, not to mention that they were all really friendly and charming.
After two nights we were transferred to one of the larger villas, namely the pool villa named Toya, which was definitely the largest (and cleanest!) accomodation I’ve ever had at a hotel with two separate bathrooms (each with a bathtub and the most beautiful decoration on the wall), a bedroom with a four-poster bed, a large living room where Hedvig and I watched Borat one night, lol, and our own spa room. However, most time we spent in the outside living area by the pool and the torches that were lit up every evening when we had our dinner, which was so cool. I can really imagine what a cozy time people who spend their honeymoon there must have because it was definitely the coolest villa ever! Besides all the villas and the main pool the hotel also has a gym and a private beach located approximately five minutes away by walk. I’m really lazy so I don’t go to the gym that often but Hedvig is a total fitness junkie and spent most of our evenings there and thought it was awesome.
Besides being very conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport by car (though still managing to be very calm and secluded) the area has a lot of interesting things to see (like lots of monkeys <3). Being a former fishing village with some evident heritage through several fish markets, hehe, many popular sights such as the Uluwatu sea temple are located in the area with a really great Ralph Lauren outlet nearby, hih. Jimbaran Bay, with beautiful white sand and super fun activities, is also called the “Beverly Hills of Bali” because of the recently emerged luxury villas and this is something that I really recommend you guys to visit. Apart from that, Jimbaran, to an even larger extent than the rest of Bali, appears to have a pretty strong attachment to ancient local traditions, religious ones in particular. We often encountered people during different ceremonies wearing the most beautiful clothes and basically wherever we went it was possible to buy Hindu statues (I really wanted to have an elephant delivered back home to my parents garden as a suprise but unfortunately the store I visited didn’t ship overseas). When we weren’t in the area the people at Jamahal had very kindly helped us to arrange with a driver to take us wherever we wanted on the island and thanks to that we could visit e.g. the Tegalalang waterfall and the volcano that are difficult to reach by foot. The driver was so nice and recommended so many things that contributed to giving us one of the greatest itineraries ever.
We really had the most amazing time at Jamahal! On our last day we got a really good massage by two really sweet girls and the super pretty Sushi who worked in the front desk arranged for us to have the best farewell meal imaginable in one of the villas. Jamahal has by far some of the most beautiful and spacious villas I’ve ever seen and it is definitely the cleanest (as you know I am terrified of stains and always go through hotels with a magnifying glass before I enter and I swear that Jamahal is the tidiest hotel I’ve ever found regardless of its’ close proximity to nature, lol). I can really, really recommend you guys to stay here and I virtually pinkie promise x 1.000 that you will have one of the greatest times!
Thank you very much to everyone at Jamahal Private Resort & Spa!
